Pakistan, Yemen enjoy strong bilateral ties: Chairman Senate

Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, the Senate’s chairman, emphasized the two countries’ shared cultural, historical, and religious ties while restating Pakistan’s longstanding and familial ties with Yemen.

He made these remarks on Wednesday in Islamabad when he met with Mohammed Motahar Alashabi, the Yemeni ambassador.

A wide range of subjects were discussed, with an emphasis on strengthening economic cooperation, regional stability, and bilateral ties.

Gilani greeted the Ambassador with great warmth and reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for Yemen’s peace efforts.

He emphasized Pakistan’s continued dedication to helping Yemeni authorities and students through professional training, capacity-building programs, and scholarships.

He underlined that Pakistan could provide Yemen with its knowledge in important areas including information technology, agriculture, defense, and climate change.
