Pakistan, OIC discuss economic trade cooperation

In order to explore ways to improve economic, commercial, and development cooperation among OIC member states, Federal Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan met with Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), in Jeddah.
According to a press release released here on Friday, Minister Jam Kamal Khan reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to further engagement with the OIC during the meeting, stressing the importance of regular high-level contacts in building stronger strategic and economic ties within the Muslim world.
He praised the OIC’s efforts to promote women’s empowerment among its member states and expressed the Prime Minister of Pakistan’s gratitude for the Secretary-General’s attendance at the International Conference on Girls’ Education in Muslim Communities, which was held in Islamabad on January 11–12, 2025.
