Pakistan, China agree cooperation in anti-terror, CPEC development

Reiterating that any attempt to weaken or sabotage bilateral ties was doomed to fail, Pakistan and China have decided to expand their collaboration in a number of areas, including information technology, agriculture, defense, and counterterrorism.

President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and National People’s Congress Standing Committee Chairman Zhao Leji met with President Asif Ali Zardari during his current five-day state visit to China to discuss bilateral ties and cooperation. The Foreign Office released a joint statement on Thursday that detailed the agreements and discussions made during the visit.
