By giving polio doses to children under five on Sunday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif began a national anti-polio campaign for 2025 (February 3–9).
The prime minister reiterated his government’s commitment to eradicate polio from Pakistan during his remarks at the inauguration event.
According to him, the goal of the nationwide polio vaccination campaign is to protect the health and future of millions of children.
In order to eradicate the sickness, he hoped that committed teams would labor around the clock and make it to remote places and villages. He also added that these teams would effectively fulfill the enormous national responsibility by giving it their all.
Unfortunately, 77 polio cases were reported nationwide in the past year, according to the prime minister.
