Promoting EVs crucial for mitigating country’s smog challenges: Azam

In order to combat smog, which has turned into a serious health hazard, Minister of Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar has urged for the implementation of strict regulatory measures to reduce heat-trapping vehicle emissions.

He stated that smog has become a major environmental and public health issue, impacting millions of lives annually, causing billions of dollars in economic losses, and interfering with air and road traffic. He was speaking at the 10th meeting of the National Climate Change Policy Implementation Committee (NCCPIC), which was recently held here.

To lessen the sources of smog and air pollution, however, it was crucial that all pertinent government agencies take prompt, significant action.
