DPM directs power tariff relief to industries

Senator Ishaq Dar, the foreign minister and deputy prime minister, gave the appropriate departments instructions on Friday to start the process of helping the industrial electricity users.

The proposal from the ministries of finance, information and technology, and power was examined by the deputy prime minister, who chaired the second meeting on industrial electricity tariffs.

The Federal Secretaries for Finance, Power, and Information Technology, the Chairmen of FBR and NEPRA, the Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology, the SAPM on Power, and the Ministers of Power and Economic Affairs Division attended the meeting.
