PM welcomes long-awaited ceasefire in Gaza

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif praised Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Egypt, and other international allies for their tireless efforts in mediating the long-awaited truce in Palestine, and he welcomed the announcement on Thursday.

The prime minister described the truce as a crucial accord in a post on his official X timeline.

“It is imperative that provision of urgently needed humanitarian assistance is immediately restored to Gaza and other war-torn areas,” stated the prime minister.

PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed his hope that the ceasefire accord will be upheld in its entirety.

He reaffirmed that Pakistan honored the sacrifices made by tens of thousands of innocent people who perished as a result of Israeli atrocities and expressed sympathy with the Palestinian people.
