People entering Corps Commander House was ‘security breach’: SC judge

Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi of the Supreme Court declared on Tuesday that there had been a “security breach” when individuals entered the Corps Commander House in Lahore on May 9, 2023.
“On May 9, did anyone make it to the Corps Commander’s residence? It is a security violation when people enter the Corps Commander’s House,” Justice Rizvi said at a hearing.
The judge’s comments were made during the hearing of intra-court challenges against the trial of civilians in military courts by the constitutional bench of the highest court, which is presided over by Justice Amin-Ud-Din Khan.
In a unanimous decision rendered by a five-member panel on October 23 of last year, the supreme court ruled that 103 individuals should be tried in civilian tribunals and ruled that civilian trials in military courts were invalid.
