Pakistan conducted anti-terrorist operation in ‘border areas

In reference to an airstrike carried out Tuesday evening, the Foreign Office (FO) claimed on Thursday that Pakistan had taken out an intelligence-based action against terrorists in “border areas based on threats to Pakistani citizens’ security.”
Frequent border clashes and Islamabad’s repeated demands that Kabul intervene against the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) for using Afghan territory to launch operations in Pakistan have soured relations between the two countries. Kabul refutes the claims.
Following Pakistan’s Tuesday airstrikes in the neighboring country, which security sources say targeted multiple suspected terrorists, the FO spokesperson’s remark is the first official word from the government on the subject.
They said that four areas in Afghanistan, allegedly TTP camps, were hit by fighter jets.
