Terrorists’ anti-CPEC designs to fail as security beefed up: Ahsan assures

Professor Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, highlighted the improved security of Chinese citizens in Pakistan on Wednesday and declared that terrorists attempting to undo the enormous advancements made possible by the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will fail.
In a meeting with the top executives of Power China, the minister expressed sympathy for the deaths of Chinese engineers in terror-related incidents and made it clear that the Pakistani government vehemently opposes the terror attacks that aim to undermine the crucial CPEC project.
“To avoid similar incidents in the future, Pakistan has further strengthened security measures for engineers and employees working on the CPEC project,” the assurance read.
Such vile acts of terrorism, he said, could not threaten the iron brotherhood between China and Pakistan.
