Ready to play role in govt-opposition talks: Ayaz Sadiq

Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq has stated that he is prepared to play his part in any future parleys between the opposition and treasury benches, despite the fact that the prospect of negotiations between the government and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led opposition remains dubious.
In a video message released on Wednesday, Sadiq stated, “My office and home are always available for government-opposition talks. I am ready to play a role in talks on any issue, including political ones.”
The speaker praised yesterday’s interactions between the government and PTI leaders in the lower house and emphasised the importance of negotiations in resolving the ongoing animosity between the two parties.
The comments are made in the context of the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the PTI-government conversation.
