Right of Syrian people to freely decide their destiny: FO spox

Pakistan declared on Thursday that the Syrian people should have the freedom to choose their own course in life and that no outside influence or imposition should dictate it.

“We are worried about the increase in violence in Syria and are keeping an eye on developments there… We declare our unwavering support for Syria’s geographical integrity, unity, and sovereignty. At her weekly news briefing, Foreign Office spokesman Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated that any resolution to the Syrian crisis should align with the goals of the Syrian people for their security, stability, and advancement.

According to her, Pakistan has consistently backed initiatives to find a comprehensive solution to the Syrian problem.
