India punishing, harassing and intimidating Kashmiri people: FO

Pakistan applauded the United Nations General Assembly’s resolution on Wednesday, which called for the establishment of a Palestinian state and the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from Palestinian lands.

“Civilians are being randomly killed in Gaza, including at feeding stations, medical facilities, and refugee shelters; the genocide must stop. At her weekly press briefing today, Foreign Office spokesman Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated that the humanitarian crisis requires immediate international intervention.

She voiced her serious concerns about the recent events in Syria, stating that the current state of affairs will further destabilise the area and give terrorist groups more confidence. She urged for international measures to de-escalate the situation and preserve Syria’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, emphasising the development of peace and security in the country.

The spokesperson drew attention to the ongoing confiscation of Kashmiri property in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, citing the recent confiscation of 13 people’s properties in the Kishtwar District.

The acts taken by India are a part of a larger campaign to seize Kashmiri properties and lands in order to punish the Kashmiri people for holding opposing political opinions and to harass and threaten them. “As an occupying power, we implore the Indian government to respect its international commitments and put an end to the current campaign of occupying Kashmiri people’s property,” she said.

Pakistan will continue to provide our Kashmiri people with political, diplomatic, and spiritual support for a fair and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir conflict in line with UN Security Council resolutions, spokeswoman Baloch reaffirmed.
