Planning Minister calls for promoting narrative of tolerance

In order to combat the culture of hate and prejudice in society, Minister of Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has called for the promotion of narratives of tolerance and understanding as well as the initiation of discussion across communities.

According to him, religion is also abused to sow discord and fanaticism. However, he asserted that we must spread the message of love, tolerance, and coexistence—the true spirit of Islam.

According to the Minister, Islam categorically rejects compulsion and violence, and it is our shared duty to preserve the values of tolerance, love, and harmony.

Prejudice and hate, according to Ahsan Iqbal, frequently emerge from ignorance and concerns, causing divisions that might turn into extremism and endanger peace and stability. He emphasised the importance of combating the viruses of prejudice and hatred.
