PM dubs PTI group of ‘terrorists’, orders lodging cases against ‘rioters’

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has blasted the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for “using state resources for launching an onslaught” on the federal capital during the PTI’s recent three-day protest, calling it a “fitna” [mischief] in relation to its recent “do-or-die” demonstration.
The premier instructed that lawsuits be filed against these “groups” and declared, “This is not a political party but a fitna [mischief] and a group of terrorists.”
The prime minister said this at a high-level discussion about the nation’s state of law and order.
The premier blasted the troubled PTI, whose administration was overthrown in April 2022 by a no-confidence resolution, calling it the “fourth invasion” of the capital.
