The contributions made by the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia to the Muslim world have been acknowledged by Senate Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani.
He emphasised the long-standing connections between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan at a meeting with Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh in Riyadh, which were established on
mutual regard and common religious beliefs.
According to him, Pakistan wants to work with Saudi Arabia in the fields of education and religion. The Grand Mufti’s efforts to foster harmony and tolerance were also commended by the Chairman, who called for more religious scholars to interact in order to improve understanding between people. Yousaf Raza Gilani suggested expediting programs for religious instruction and enabling the two nations to exchange expert delegations.
