In order to monetise their decades-old political ties, Pakistan and Belarus decided on Tuesday to expedite the implementation of bilateral agreements to strengthen cooperation in trade, agriculture, food, defence, and technology.
At a joint press stakeout after their bilateral meeting and delegation-level discussions, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that they had agreed to turn the understandings they had reached into agreements by February of the following year.
Important agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) involving collaboration in environmental protection, disaster management, halal trade, auditing institutions, financial information sharing, vocational education, and science and technology were previously exchanged between the two leaders.
