Attaullah Tarar, the federal minister of information, broadcasting, national heritage, and culture, stated on Tuesday that the state was exercising extreme discretion in its handling of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf demonstrators.
Speaking to the media, the minister claimed that Bushra Bibi’s wife had devised a scheme to incite violence and kill demonstrators in confrontations with the police so that they might profit from the situation.
“Mercenaries have been brought to the front and they want to use children of the poor people” , said he.
He claimed that it appeared the PTI leadership wished to repeat the goals of the May 9 arson.
He questioned who ought to answer for the deaths of police and ranger martyrs.
