CM condemns attack on Punjab police

Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the chief minister of Punjab, has voiced her profound sorrow for the shootings that have occurred against Punjab police personnel and checkpoint officials.
“It is regrettable that more than 20 police personnel, including SP, DSP, and SHO, have been injured in attacks,” the chief minister said in a statement released here on Monday.
According to the CM, the demonstrators were also spotted brandishing knives, masks, tear gas and machine weapons. She stated that the demonstrators attacked Punjab police using firearms that are only in the hands of police. She emphasised that shots were fired at the Hazara Motorway, Mianwali, and Ghazi Barotha, among other locations.
According to the CM, Punjab police have been kept disarmed to prevent confrontations. It hasn’t been armed yet.
