Imran Khan gets bail in new Toshakhana case

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday granted party founder Imran Khan’s bail request in the new Toshakhana case, marking a significant step ahead of the PTI’s impending protest on November 24.
Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb of the IHC granted Khan’s bail request against two Rs. 1 million surety bonds, each of which needs to be provided by a different guarantor.
Following the most recent development, the PTI founder is no longer wanted in any other matter under Islamabad’s jurisdiction.
Following the bail, the IHC mandated that the ousted prime minister appear in court.
It further stated, “If you [Imran] do not cooperate with the trial court, the bail may be revoked.”
The FIA prosecutor asserted that media reports had prematurely recommended that bail be approved.
