Air Chief conferred upon Bahrain Medal-First Class

At Sakhir Air Base in Bahrain, Air Chief Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu received the Bahrain Medal-First Class from Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the country’s deputy king.
The Air Chief received the medal in appreciation of his outstanding work fostering defence cooperation and military cooperation between the two fraternal nations.
Senior members of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s military and governmental leadership attended the ceremony.
Lieutenant General Derek France, Commander of the Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command-AFCENT), paid Air Chief Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu a visit on the fringes of the Bahrain International Airshow.
The Air Chief reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the two strategic partners’ current bilateral collaboration.

The Commander of AFCENT expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s efforts to foster peace in the region and committed to strengthening collaboration in the areas of military-to-military interaction, mutual exercises, and joint training.
Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander in Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force, was visited by the Air Chief in a separate meeting.
