In order to guarantee sufficient supplies of DAP and urea for the forthcoming Rabi season, the Fertiliser Review Committee (FRC) on Friday expressed total satisfaction with the nation’s present fertiliser reserves.
In order to evaluate the stock situation of DAP and urea fertilisers for the Rabi season 2024–2025, the committee convened under the direction of Federal Minister for Industries, Production, and National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain, according to a press statement.
With a 44% increase in DAP offtake, the minister emphasised the nation’s growing need for DAP fertiliser. The Punjab government’s Kisan Card project is to blame for this increase in demand.
The estimated DAP offtake for October 2024 was 215,000 tonnes; this has now grown to 309,000 tonnes, a 44% increase.
