Rana Sanaullah, the Prime Minister’s adviser on political and public affairs, warned sharply Thursday that the government and law enforcement will strongly oppose the PTI’s call for a protest and take strict preventive action against those responsible for the May 9 incident.
He declared that the administration would not put up with any disruption or unconstitutional behaviour akin to what happened on May 9.
He emphasised that the government is dedicated to upholding law and order and that anyone who organise rallies or encourage disruption will suffer dire repercussions.
He went on to say that any efforts to undermine the stability of the nation would be dealt with prompt and forceful measures.
His warning demonstrates the government’s determination to avert anarchy and comes in reaction to the PTI’s call for protest on November 24.
