Engineer Amir Muqam, Minister for States and Frontier Regions, has denounced the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government’s brutal treatment of teachers who were demonstrating.
He was speaking at a press conference in Islamabad this evening alongside Mubarak Zeb, a member of the National Assembly.
According to the Minister, there are many inconsistencies in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government’s declarations and actions. Its chief minister claims that protest is a constitutional right, but they also threaten to suspend teachers and take other harsh measures. He said that the provincial government’s treatment of teachers is unacceptable.
Amir Muqam said his party will keep advocating for the teachers’ rights and expressed support with them.
