Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, stated on Wednesday that data and information technology are transformative forces that propel socioeconomic progress and sustainable development.
She noted during the Parliamentarian Dialogue Session on “Inclusive Policy Reforms for Improved Water and Food Security in a Changing Climate” that IT offers precise, real-time data on water resources, climate patterns, and agricultural needs.
Data, according to her, enables decision-makers to make well-informed choices that address pressing issues. She noted that governments may use IT to develop inclusive, data-driven policies that support long-term food and water security.
