Senator Ishaq Dar, the deputy prime minister and foreign minister, described the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a “wonderful gift” from China to Pakistan on Tuesday. He claimed that steps were being taken by the administration to make the Chinese promise to send 1,000 students to China for agriculture technology training a reality.
He reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast support for the One-China policy and stated that Pakistan greatly valued China’s assistance in resolving long-standing issues like Kashmir and Palestine.
As longstanding allies, he claimed that China and Pakistan stood by one another through all challenges, including natural disasters, economic upheavals, and changes in the geopolitical landscape.
Deputy Prime Minister Dar praised China’s growth path, saying that despite leg pulling from other areas of the world, China has accomplished a milestone through “light-speed” that has never been seen before and is also making the world a better place.
He voiced the expectation that China would eventually overtake all other economies, citing the dedication and diligence of the Chinese people and leadership.
