Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, the Speaker of the National Assembly, made the suggestion on Friday that girls need to have modern education and training in order for future generations to survive.
He added in a statement on the occasion of the International Day of the Girl Child that the day is very important for bringing attention to the issues facing girls’ rights protection.
He stated that the defence of girls’ rights, a healthy upbringing, and making sure they have an education and access to healthcare are the highest objectives. He asserted that women have equal rights under Islam and the Pakistani Constitution. The nation’s Constitution ensures that all children, male or female, between the ages of five and sixteen, have equal access to free public education, regardless of their gender.
