Arshad Nadeem accorded hero’s welcome upon triumphant return

Javelinist Arshad Nadeem, who broke records at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris with a 92.97-meter javelin throw and won the gold medal in the men’s division, was greeted with hero status by throngs of jubilant supporters at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in the early hours of Sunday.
Upon arriving at the Lahore airport, the aircraft carrying Olympic javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem—who broke a record that stood for 118 years—was greeted by a water cannon salute. Following his escort to the State Lounge, he was cordially greeted by federal, provincial, and other government officials. At the Allama Iqbal International Airport’s State Lounge, Arshad Nadeem’s family was also present as he gave his father an embrace.
