In order to make sure that Pakistan’s development agenda is also advanced, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar emphasised on Friday the necessity of reorienting the nation’s diplomatic initiatives from conventional diplomacy to economic diplomacy.
“The era of traditional diplomacy is ended. The Deputy PM stated, “We will need to concentrate more on economic diplomacy in addition to traditional diplomacy, during the 43rd specialised diplomatic school graduation ceremony at the Foreign Services Academy.
According to him, the primary goals of foreign diplomacy should not only be to protect national interests but also to convert a nation’s geostrategic position into a geoeconomic one, thereby promoting economic growth.
