Engr. Amir Muqam, the federal minister for Kashmir affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan, and SAFRON, stated on Wednesday that the federal government’s top priority is resolving the issues in Gilgithatt-Baltistan and that they will use all available resources to promote development and well-being in the area.
As the head of a high-level meeting at the Gilgit-Baltistan Council, Minister Muqam emphasised the region’s enormous potential to become a top travel destination worldwide. He also cited the region’s abundant mineral riches and hydroelectric potential, promising to utilise these resources for the sake of regional growth.
Amir Muqam promised that problems encountered by traders in Gilgit-Baltistan would be settled peacefully in compliance with current regulations and laws, and that all parties involved would be kept informed and involved.
