‘Dgitalization of economy is inevitable’

Ahsan Iqbal, the minister of planning, development, and special initiatives, stressed on Wednesday how important digital technology is to promoting economic growth, openness, and good governance.

Speaking at the inaugural National Digital Summit, he declared, “Digitisation of the economy is inevitable for achieving the national development.”

He emphasised how crucial it is to use technology to solve urgent problems, advance openness, and stimulate the economy.

In order to improve infrastructure, human resource development, and digital literacy, he promoted the adoption of digital technology.

The minister emphasised the value of cooperation between academic institutions and the IT sector, stating that it is crucial for fostering professional and digital skills among young people.

He told the assembly that the government was doing what it needed to do to encourage young people to develop digital skills.
