Ali Pervaiz Malik, the minister of state for finance, revenue, and power, called for “national unity” and denounced the opposition for pursuing self-interest and endangering the nation’s economic recovery with their actions.
In interviews with the media, he has made a strong case for national unity, imploring all parties involved to set aside their disagreements and cooperate for the success of the nation.
Malik forewarned that the nation’s stability and advancement are under jeopardy due to the opposition’s self-serving agenda, which is also impeding the government’s attempts to resolve economic concerns.
In response to a question on the opposition’s call for protest, he clarified that while the government is not averse to protests from the opposition, all rallies and demonstrations must adhere to the law and be organised through the appropriate legal channels.
