Ali Pervaiz Malik, the state minister of finance, revenue, and power, has stated that in order to establish long-term stability and correct economic orientation, drastic economic reforms are required.
In an interview with the media, he argued that by privatising state-owned businesses and getting rid of unnecessary bureaucracies, the government is rightsizing.
The Minister presented a number of steps meant to reduce government spending, such as budget cuts to the Public Sector Development Programme and a move towards public-private partnerships.
According to him, the government’s overarching plan seeks to increase productivity and streamline processes in important areas.
