The Corps Commanders’ Conference has reaffirmed its commitment to providing full support to ongoing initiatives aimed at boosting socioeconomic growth and fully cooperating with the government to put an end to any unlawful activity that jeopardises investor trust, economic stability, and growth. General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff, chaired today’s 265th Corps Commanders’ Conference in Rawalpindi. The forum gave heartfelt thanks to the Shuhadas of the armed forces, law enforcement, and the citizenry who gave their lives to maintain peace and stability in their country.
The forum conducted a thorough analysis of the country’s internal and external security situations and held in-depth discussions on a number of Azm-e-Istehkam-related topics. Azm-e-Istehkam aims to break the link between illegal immigration and terrorism in the country in order to bring about long-term stability and economic growth.
Concern was expressed over the unjustified criticism and purposeful distortion of the vision by some parties in order to serve their own interests.
The forum reiterated its commitment to regional peace and security and also discussed the state of regional security, with particular emphasis on Afghanistan.
It conveyed support for the people of Palestine and Kashmir. Forum denounced the grave breaches of human rights, war crimes, and genocide occurring in Gaza and Kashmir.
The forum affirmed that military leadership is cognizant of the full spectrum of the challenges and resolved to shoulder its constitutionally mandated responsibilities with support of the resilient people of Pakistan.
It emphasised that the wave of politically motivated cyberterrorism, directed by conspirators and fully assisted by their overseas allies, is intended to create strife and discourage the nation by spreading propaganda, fake news, and outright lies. Nonetheless, the country and the Armed Forces are fully aware of all these schemes, and they are determined to defeat Pakistan’s enemies’ plans. The COAS emphasised the need of upholding the highest standards of professionalism and operational readiness while expressing complete satisfaction with the Army’s commitment to national security.
The COAS remarked that Pakistan Army has always been fully prepared to thwart all internal and external challenges and play its due role in the stability and prosperity of Pakistan, regardless of the challenges posed.
