The Balochistani government on Wednesday announced the arrest of two high-ranking Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commanders, Nasrullah alias “Maulvi Mansoor” and Idris alias “Irshad,” marking a significant victory in the fight against terrorism.
“We’ve taken down a significant terrorist organisation. At a press conference in Quetta, Balochistan Home Minister Mir Zia Ullah Langau stated, “Terrorists Nasrullah […] and Idris have been arrested after a difficult operation.”
The arrests occurred one day after the Central Apex Committee of the nationwide Action Plan authorised Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, a nationwide counterterrorism initiative that has been revitalised and reenergized.
According to Langove, who was pointing out foreign factors, “India is behind terrorist attacks in the country [and] provides financial support to the militants.”
