Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad of the Lahore High Court (LHC) said on Friday that he has been notified of verbal and written allegations of “institutions” interfering in court cases.
“I have full faith that this interference of the establishment in the judiciary will come to an end very soon,” Justice Ahmad declared at a Rawalpindi event.
He clarified that he was stating this since it was “part of my experience but also includes my faith.”
“In order to eliminate the meddling of the establishment, we must confront it head-on, fearlessly, courageously, and with the conviction that, God willing, this meddling will come to an end very soon,” the chief justice stated.
