The media affairs wing of the Pakistan Army said on Sunday that seven troops, including a captain, lost their lives after their vehicle collided with an IED that had been set up by terrorists in Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reports that while the security forces vehicle was on patrol in Lakki Marwat, it was struck by a roadside bomb.
Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas of the Pakistan Army, Subedar Major Muhammad Nazir, Lance Naik Muhammad Anwar, Lance Naik Hussain Ali Sepoy Asad Ullah, Sepoy Manzoor Hussain, and Sepoy Rashid Mehmood were the names of the martyred personnel.
According to the ISPR, the area is being sanitised to remove any terrorists that may have been there, and anyone responsible for this horrible act will face legal consequences.
“Security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” the military’s media wing concluded.
