In his speech to the Pakistan-China Business Forum, Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar related a previous experience.
Despite Pakistan’s strong economic performance history and ranking as the world’s 24th largest economy, the programme experienced significant difficulties due to the country’s frequent political upheavals and government changes.
He did, however, assert that PM Shehbaz had a very clear plan that included industrialization, import substitution-driven industries, and growth driven by exports, with the main goal being to lower the fiscal deficit.
The deputy prime minister emphasised Pakistan’s potential in the fields of information technology, agriculture, mining, and minerals. She also stated that the Business Forum was unique from prior customary gatherings in that it facilitated business-to-business matchmaking between Chinese and Pakistani organisations.
