Gwadar to become internationally acclaimed port city: Ahsan Iqbal

Ahsan Iqbal, the federal minister for planning, development, and special initiatives, predicted that Gwadar would grow into a very successful port city with enormous potential for its citizens on a global scale.
He told Xinhua, “We hope that Gwadar will become an internationally acclaimed world-class port city, which will have tremendous opportunities for its people,” praising the growth of Gwadar Port as part of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Regarding Gwadar as a crucial and strategic port in this area, he stated that China has demonstrated its outstanding support for the growth of several Pakistani regions, including Gwadar, through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
We have observed at Gwadar that China has not only improved the port infrastructure but also made contributions to the socioeconomic growth of the area.
