India must stop suppressing Kashmiris, political activists: FO spox

Pakistan reaffirmed on Friday that India must end its current campaign of intimidation against political activists and the Kashmiri populace in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

“The All Parties Hurriyat Conference’s Srinagar headquarters is still closed. India’s continuous campaign of intimidation against political activists and the Kashmiri public must end. At her weekly news briefing today, Foreign Office spokesman Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated that “the people of Jammu and Kashmir should be able to freely exercise their right to self-determination as enshrined in the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.”

The spokeswoman reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting Kashmiris politically, diplomatically, and morally in order to achieve a fair and peaceful resolution of the conflict in accordance with UNSC resolutions.
