Ishaq Dar, the foreign minister and deputy prime minister, sent out wishes to the people on Tuesday during Yaum-e-Takbeer, a national holiday honouring the 26th anniversary of Pakistan’s nuclear tests.
In a social media post on X, the deputy prime minister said that Pakistan became a nuclear power because of the fearless leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the time.
“28th May 1998 was a proud day for the nation when PM Nawaz Sharif’s brave leadership decided to make Pakistan a nuclear power in the comity of nations, AlhamdoLilah,” added DPM Dar.
On Tuesday, Attaullah Tarar, the Federal Minister of Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage, and Culture, congratulated the country on the 26th anniversary of Yaum-e-Takbeer.
That day, he claimed, Pakistan’s defence became unbreakable.
