PM meets with world leaders at Raisi’s memorial ceremony

At the funeral service for Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other world leaders conducted a number of meetings and talked about how to strengthen bilateral ties and promote collaboration.

On May 19, 2024, Raisi, Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian, and a few others accepted martyrdom in a horrific helicopter accident in the Iranian province of Eastern Azerbaijan.

During their meeting, the prime minister and President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan discussed how to further their already strong bilateral relations.

In a similar vein, the topics of discussion at the meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz and his counterpart Ali Asadov of Azerbaijan were ways to strengthen their bilateral cooperation.

Additionally, the prime minister wished Azerbaijan well.
