On Monday, Pakistan and Turkey decided to increase their yearly bilateral trade from $1 billion to $5 billion, with the goal of bolstering bilateral and regional cooperation in several areas.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan informed the media in a joint press stakeout that followed their “extensive” delegation-level talks that they had discussed bilateral cooperation, including commerce, investment, connectivity, and defence.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar stated during his speech that steps were being done to increase trade volume to $5 billion and that bilateral cooperation was developing in all areas.
Designating Turkey and Pakistan as “two countries and one nation,” Dar stated the complex institutional frameworks and high-level interactions demonstrated the strategic and comprehensive nature of the bilateral ties.
