Imran, others acquitted in two long march cases

Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and other party leaders were cleared by a district and sessions court on Monday in two lengthy vandalism cases.
Zartaj Gul, Ali Nawaz Awan, Faisal Javed, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Qasim Suri, Raja Khurram Nawaz, Shireen Mazari, Saifullah Niazi, Asad Umar, and Sheikh Rashid Ahmad, the chairman of the Awami Muslim League, were among the other party officials who were found not guilty.
Section 144 violations were reported in the Kohsar and Karachi Company police stations against Khan and other lawmakers.
The PTI founder and other politicians had filed pleas of acquittal; the court’s decision was made at this session.
The Judicial Magistrate found Khan, Qureshi, Rashid, Awan, Suri, and Nawaz not guilty in the case that was filed.
