A high-level meeting was presided over by Pakistan’s Federal Minister of Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, on Thursday to discuss urgent problems facing the country’s business and export industries.
A press release issued today stated that a high-level committee was notified to address difficulties and challenges encountered by the business sector, per Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s directive.
Leading exporters, corporate executives, Maj. Gen. Tabassum Habib, the Director General of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), and several ministry members from the finance, industrial, information technology, maritime, and financial sectors were present.
The goal of the meeting was to develop workable solutions by interacting directly with key government agencies and stakeholders on issues that are periodically brought to the ministry’s attention by chambers of commerce, the Pakistan Business Council (PBC), the business community, and (TDAP).
