Zero-tolerance against overbilling: Naqvi

Mohsin Naqvi, the federal minister of interior, gave the order on Tuesday to intensify the campaign to halt excessive billing and electricity theft.

He gave the instruction to keep taking indiscriminate action against the policemen who overbill the citizens.

Mohsin Naqvi stated that the zero tolerance policy for overbilling will remain in place and that it is totally intolerable to penalise citizens for the carelessness and ineptitude of DISCOs.

Relieving overbilling power users is a top concern, he stated.

Additionally, he gave the order to take action against government employees who stole electricity.

The Minister was presiding over a meeting at the FIA Lahore Zonal Office to assess the state of the campaign against power thieves and overbilling.
