‘Will put everything before nation’: PM on wheat scandal

According to reports on Sunday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that the government will bring the people’s needs first when it comes to individuals accountable for the wheat import issue.
PM Shehbaz declared, “We will put everything before the nation,” at a meeting with Cabinet Division Secretary Kamran Ali Afzal, the official in charge of the investigation into the matter.

The prime minister gave Afzal instructions to identify the person or people responsible for the scandal, assign blame, and make recommendations based on the data and papers at hand. The cabinet secretary was also instructed to provide the final report by Monday.
The prime minister’s comments came at a time when the federal government was put in a difficult situation after the governments of Punjab and Balochistan were unable to buy wheat from farmers because of an excess supply.
