Pakistan launches first satellite moon mission

Pakistan has achieved a historic milestone with the launch of iCube Qamar, the nation’s first satellite mission to the moon, from Hainan, China, on China’s Chang’E6.
Both Chinese state television and the IST website carried live coverage of the opening event.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the country and the scientists for launching the first mission into lunar orbit after the launch.
The PM declared in a statement that Pakistan’s first space mission is the ICUBE-Q satellite.
According to the prime minister, Pakistani scientists, engineers, and skilled labourers are demonstrating their prowess in this area, much like their proficiency in nuclear technology.
He paid respect to the entire SUPARCO team as well as Dr. Khurram Khurshid and the core committee of the Institute of Space Technology.
