Commissioner Multan orders urgent completion of development projects

Taking notice of delay in different development projects in the region, Multan Division Commissioner Imran Sikandar Baloch, has ordered the relevant departments to complete the projects within given deadlines.

Chairing the meeting pertaining progress in development projects, the commissioner ordered the authorities to ensure transparency and standard in the projects to give benefit to the masses. “All the projects should not only audited by a third party but the PC Four also be submitted after the completion of the projects,” Baloch said.

He further said that PC One should be prepared for the approval of new development schemes. “All the relevant departments should contact their forums to resolve the issues these projects facing,” the commissioner ordered, adding that current development budget for Multan region is Rs659583 million.

“With Rs280 million, work on providing basic facilities to government schools across the Division is also underway,” he told the meeting attendees.

Giving briefing during the meeting, Tariq Bukhari said that under PS Program more than 450 schools and 821 classrooms have been upgraded. “Up to 62 percent work on this project has been completed while rest of the goal will soon be achieved,” he stated.

The heads of different development departments were also present in the meeting.
