Iranian President arrives Monday

Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, will be in town on Monday for a formal visit that will run from April 22 to 24.
President Raisi will meet with the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Chairman of the Senate, and the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan during her visit.

In addition, he will meet with the provincial leaders in Karachi and Lahore.
The Foreign Office Spokesperson stated in a press statement on Sunday that “the Iranian President will be accompanied by his spouse and a high-level delegation comprising the Foreign Minister and other members of the cabinet, senior officials as well as a large business delegation.”
This will be the first official visit to Pakistan by an Iranian head of state following this year’s general elections on February 8.
